ABSMaterials' Osorb® technology was recently immortalized in a quilted painting entitled "Rain Garden: Ace of Pyrex Cups in the Kitchen Tarot." The artist, Susan Shie, is a nationally renowned painter and narrative quilter whose work is featured in collections in the Museum of Arts & Design in New York City, the International Quilt Study Center and Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the John M. Walsh III collection of contemporary quilts.

The painting features Dr. Paul Edmiston, CSO and Co-Founder, at center tending "a big garden of Osorb flowers." Shie has painted Edmiston with a third and fourth eye to respectively represent intuition and using that intuition to communicate with others. Above him, "clean water for healing mother Earth" flows into a large eye labeled "vision."

CEO Stephen Spoonamore also makes an appearance at the left of the painting below "inspiration pie." Key landmarks incorporated into the piece include ABS's new headquarters building and the College of Wooster, where Dr. Edmiston first engineered Osorb. Shie herself, a 1981 graduate of the College, appears at lower center, helping to clean water by funneling it into a pump-and-treat VOCEater™.

Everyone at ABSMaterials feels very honored to have their work venerated in this beautiful piece of art. To us, it represents the optimism with which we approach our work cleaning the world's precious water resources.

The opening reception for this piece and others will be Jan. 13th at the Wayne Center for the Arts Wayne Artists Group Effort in Wooster, OH.
